- 4 tbsp butter unsalted, room temperature - may substitute dairy free alternative
- 3 tbsp cocoa powder unsweetened
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2-3 tbsp milk may substitute dairy free alternative

Instructions
- In a stand mixer or bowl for a hand mixer, whip the room temperature butter until creamy.
- On low, add the cocoa powder and vanilla, whipping until well blended.
- Slowly add the powdered sugar, whisking well between each addition. Whip until well incorporated and fluffy.
- If frosting becomes too thick, add one tablespoon of milk at a time, until the frosting reaches your desired consistency.
- Refrigerate any unused portion in an airtight container.
