I am always searching for simple, gluten free recipes, especially sweets. I am usually in charge of family party desserts, whether I am in the mood to bake or not. The original idea for these Snickers® Truffles was my husband’s. I really was not feeling like spending more time in the kitchen but I had promised a treat. I could not think of any simple ideas. Then he suggested that I make truffles out of the Snickers® that we had stashed away.
Once he said that, a light bulb went off. I knew it was a great idea. Less than thirty minutes later, these truffles were ready to go. When they disappeared at the party, I knew we had a winner. Everyone was so surprised to find out that they were made from candy bars.
Beautiful for any occasion and easy enough for weeknight chocolate cravings, these Snickers® Truffles are a delight.
All you need to do is cut up the candy, roll the rough edges and dip them in chocolate. Add a little extra chocolate drizzle for decoration and you are ready to roll.
Wrap these lovely sweet treats up in holiday bags or boxes and ribbon for a beautiful last minute gift.

- Cut each Snickers® into 4 equal pieces.
- Roll or pinch pieces to round off edges.
- Microwave chocolate chips, 30 seconds at a time, stirring in between until melted.
- Add vegetable oil to melted chocolate, stirring until well combined.
- Using a pair of forks or inverted spatulas, dip each truffle into the melted chocolate, turning to coat all sides well.
- Place on wax paper to set until dry to the touch.
- If using white chocolate, once the chocolate is set, knock off any extra, dried chocolate before coating the truffles a second time. Place on wax paper again to set until dry to the touch. If decorating with sprinkles, while chocolate is still wet, sprinkle decorations across the top of each truffle.
- If decorating with drizzle, melt chocolate chips, 30 seconds at a time, stirring in between each time until melted.
- Add vegetable oil to bowl, stirring until well combined.
- Using a fork or spoon, drizzle melted chocolate over dry truffles in your desired pattern. Allow chocolate to set completely before carefully knocking off any extra chocolate.
